Making available information in a manner that is simple to access and submit is what makes the information valuable. If information that is available cannot be referred to then what is the use of the information. Imagine going to a library and searching for a particular book amongst the innumerable books that are stacked on the racks. It for this reason that the libraries have catalogues that enable quick and meaningful retrieval. A similar analogy can be drawn to the need for such referencing the information available on the internet. In comparison to a library, the internet is many times the multiples in size.
